We use a series of specialised resources
for coaching, training & development.

Recruitment, Coaching, & Training Resources

At CareerBuilders we have created some unique and highly effective resources to support our recruitment, coaching and training programs, including the Personal Inventory, the Career Satisfaction Index, and the Hiring Success Map. These tools play an integral part in shaping personal and professional development plans, and they can be delivered in both one-on-one and group workshop formats.

We are also accredited practitioners of widely recognised behavioural profiles such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Insights Discovery, Life Styles Inventory (LSI), & DiSC. Again, we are able to offer access to these instruments in order to support a group workshop, or as part of an individual coaching program.

Hiring Success and the Success Map.

Hiring Success is our proven methodology for recruitment which so far has achieved a 93% placement success rate.

The Hiring Success Map is the key to establishing a clear picture of the successful candidate. The Success Map then sets up a step-by-step, measurable process that allows all candidates an open opportunity to demonstrate their suitability and all employers the capacity to assess each candidate against a clear, concise and established profile rather than simply comparing candidates to each other – the most common mistake made in recruitment today.

The Personal Inventory (used in Career Planning coaching sessions and workshops)

There are probably a number of roles that would enable you to feel happy and successful – we just need to know what the ideal work environment looks like first. The Personal Inventory has helped hundreds of our clients to gain clarity and get back some control over the direction of their careers. It helps you to identify key features of your ideal work environment that drive satisfaction levels – and allows you to identify things you don’t enjoy about the workplace as well. Using the Personal Inventory, participants are able to score the potential for satisfaction out of 30 points – made up of a combination of the presence of satisfiers, the absence of dissatisfiers and the impact of remuneration (how much you are paid relative to your market value).  This model has proven to be highly successful in helping people to plan the next step in their careers – with some surprising results sometimes!

Insights Discovery

The Insights Discovery System is a simple and effective way of understanding your own behavioural style and recognising, adapting and connecting to other’s styles. Related in some way to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) in that it draws on Jungian preferences, Insights simplifies the model to 4 distinct clusters of behaviour, using colour to describe each quadrant (Fiery Red, Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green and Cool Blue). More importantly you can identify someone’s style instantly, by simply observing their facial expression, tone of voice and body language – and then adapt your style to the other person in order to build trust and communicate more effectively. The Insights Discovery System is best applied to communication and interpersonal skills development, team and personal effectiveness. Insights is often delivered to large groups as a full-day workshop for team building purposes, or to support a cultural change initiative(half-day workshops are available if suitable), or used in coaching one on one. While the Insights Discovery System is simple to understand and apply, the Personal Insights Report is remarkably detailed and revealing.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a comprehensive behavioural profile that informs us of our mental processes, our orientation to the world, and our deeper motivations  – based on highly unique combinations of Jungian preferences. It reflects important differences between our “inner” and “outer” worlds and results in a profiling system of 16 behavioural “types”. Widely used in organisations today, the MBTI profile may reveal more about us than simply our observable behavioural style, and is a useful tool for personal development in conjunction with a coach. The MBTI instrument can also be used in group workshop settings and is widely used as a  foundation instrument for leadership development.

Life Styles Inventory

The Life Styles Inventory (LSI) identifies the underlying thoughts and motivations that guide an individual’s behaviour. Often referred to as personal styles, management styles and leadership styles, these represent the essence of an individual’s effectiveness. The Life Styles Inventory (LSI) is based around the Human Synergistics Circumplex, describing constructive, passive/defensive and aggressive/defensive behaviours. The LSI provides for self-description (LSI 1) and feedback from others (LSI 2). Participants receive inventories, profile supplements, and Self Development Guides.
